I grew up in Montgomery, AL and attended Auburn University where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology in 1998. While at Auburn I met my wife, Kathi, and soon after graduation we were married and began our adventure together. I attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and was awarded a 4 year health professions scholarship through the US Army.

SAY HELLO

Meet
Dr. Stewart

Upon graduation in 2004, I was accepted to the 12 month Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Ft. Carson, Colorado. After a 4 year tour in Germany with many adventures (including a 15 month side trip to Mosul, Iraq), we moved to San Antonio, TX where I completed the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program (TORP) while earning a Master’s in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

After completing orthodontic residency we moved overseas for a second tour in Germany. While there, I treated active duty service members and their children and once again maximized European travel opportunities. In 2016 we moved to Augusta, GA where I supported the US Army dental residencies maintained at Ft. Gordon by working as a mentor and clinician. After retiring in 2025 I returned home to Alabama, where I look forward to the opportunity God has given me to continue to serve and invest in local communities.

Kathi and I have been blessed with three adventurous children. We all enjoy being outside, whether running, hiking, or skiing. As avid runners earlier in life, and four year lettermen while at Auburn, Kathi and I have mostly transitioned to lower impact activities such as cycling, golf and, of course, cheering for the Auburn Tigers!
